[In the left margin] Cobb Michael Will In the Name of God Amen I Michael Cobb of Southampton County being of sound mind & memory do this tenth day of November in the year Christ 1795 do make & ordain this my last will & testament in manner following Imprimis: _ My will and desire is that all my just be paid and for that purpose I leave my Stud horse my young Pantalon mare 2000 lb of Pork all my Crop of Tobb Three barrels of Apple brandy about eighty pounds cash which I now have in hand & my negro girl Mason to be sold by my Executors hereafter mention'd and if any over plus after my just debts & funeral expenses are paid my will and desire is that it be applied towards the & education of my brothers Boy's Thomas and George Cobb until they arrive to the age of fifteen years agreeable to my Father last will & Testament and should this not be sufficiency for that purpose they must be supplement out of the other part of me estate Item: I leave the use of all my other estate both real and personal and of what nature of kind soever to my wife for the support of her & all my children until my youngest child Jack Cobb arrives or would arrive to the age of twenty one years & then my will & desire is that the whole be sold both real and personal & the money arising to be equally divided between my wife & all my children to them and their heirs forever and in case my wife should die or Marry before my youngest child as above mention'd arrives or would have arrived to the age of 21 yers my will and desire is that the while of y estate of what nature or kind soever shall then be sold and divided as above mention'd and in case the part at ????? for the payment of my just debts be not sufficient my will & desire is that my Executors shall sale such of the part of Estate as they shall judge best for that purpose the Land excepted And I do appoint my brother Exum Cobb Spencer Pierce & Charles Briggs Jun Exors of this my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I Have here unto set my hand & seal the day & year above written Sign'd Seal'd publish'd & declar'd } by the testator to be his last will & } Mich Cobb (seal)} testament in presence of } Will Hines } George Clements } Rebecca Mecom } At a court held for the county of Southampton the 10 day of December 1795 This will was presented in court by Exum Cobb & Spencer Pierce two of the executors therin named / time being allowed for the third to qualify / prov'd by the oaths of George Clements & Rebecca Mecom two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded And on the Motion of the said Exors who made oath according to law certificate is granted them for obtaining a probat thereof in due form giving Security whereupon &c.
